Our Story

Solar manufacturers are uniting to rebuild the solar supply chain here in the United States. With the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), we have a unique opportunity to implement a suite of policies to rebuild a competitive, environmentally friendly, and socially-responsible U.S. solar supply chain.

As Congress negotiated the clean energy tax incentives enacted in the IRA, the Coalition worked hard to advocate for policies that would support a competitive, environmentally friendly, and socially-responsible U.S. solar supply chain. The inclusion of the Solar Energy Manufacturing for America Act tax incentives (Section 45X) within the IRA presents a momentous opportunity for member companies to build the full solar supply chain in the U.S., create American jobs, lower people’s utility bills across the country, generate electricity with reduced emissions, and make our country energy independent. While the advanced manufacturing production tax incentives are historic, there is much work to be done to ensure that it is successfully implemented to realize that vision.

Together, the manufacturers within this coalition represent more than 6,100 workers in the United States.

Members include Caelux, Corning, CubicPV, First Solar, Heliene, Hemlock Semiconductor, Meyer Burger, Qcells, REC, REC Silicon, Silfab Solar, Suniva, Swift Solar, Talon PV, and Wacker.
